Eh, funny thing happened today. I'm cutting this from my LiveJournal 'cause I hate repeating stupid stories.
____

So, as a recent member of a myspace club made for gay indie musicians and their fans, I was adding folks whom I felt would be into my music (or at least worth having as "friends" for later reference). I came across Charlie Dyer, a GLBTQ Radio Broadcaster for Sirius radio. So I sent him a friends request.

About an hour or so later, I got this response in my inbox:
_
Not sure if you checked out my profile or not, but, my main focus is openly GLBT arts & enterainment folks. So, if you fit within that focus, let me know.

Best,

Charlie Dyer

Now, I I'm not sure what he was suggesting by this. Was my Clovework profile not gay enough? Did I seem closeted? Perhaps he was mistaken. Maybe he meant major label gay bands. (or maybe he didn't listen to "Miss Intentions" enough. I mean, hello?)

So, kind of annoyed/weirded out, I sent him this message:
_

Yeah. I'm openly gay. At least, I think other people know. At least, the people I've slept with.... O_o I think I should ask them again.

Thanks for adding me.

Actually, he hadn't added me. But he did after I sent him the message. Go figure.

So I left this on his page:
_

Hellos. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt as to my homosexuality. I hope my sarcasm isn't too biting; I just come off that way in text, alas. O_o

Seriously though, muchas gracias for the add. Always appreciated. ^_^

Hope I wasn't too rude. Sometimes it just makes me wonder.

I did a little dance to A Flock Of Seagulls "Telecomunication" while reading this thread.
