I picked this up today. I'm 5 songs in and this is probably their most consistent album. I'm sure Puma has this already. You got it Mrs. Neuro?

Napoleon Says is an awesome song.

actually, no I haven't gotten it yet. I will pick it up today. I think they are hit and miss. They have really awesome singles and then some REALLY crap songs.

I've got their second album in the queue for today. Never heard it nor the new one. Their debut is one of my favourite summer albums.

"long distance call" is one of my least favorite songs heard this year, so i'm not really holding out much hope for this one.

A buddy of mine knowns somebody in Phoenix, and while I haven't heard them I keep thinking RIYL: Air, Zero 7. Is that a fair assessment?

But if those groups played fun pop songs with guitars.

Yeah Zero 7 and Air are a little more electronic. Phoenix are like The Strokes covering Hall and Oates or Toto.

This album is getting a lot of play from me right now.

I have to agree with the Pitchfork review though that the instrumental track is unecessary. Kinda lets the air (no pun intended) out of le balloon (ok, intended)

"Rally" is stupid good.

dunno. but I think that you would really dig a lot of the Strokes-y sounding parts.

I'll make it happen.
