I'm not sure I can hear Five For Fighting's "The Riddle" one more time without a murderous rampage. Probably with the complimentary Chicago XXX paperweight that's on the traffic coordinator's desk.

As it's still grey and shitty here, I'd prefer to be somewhere sunny, but as I have no control over the weather yet, I guess I'd like to be sitting in a bar, smoking a cigarette and listening to something good on the juke.

I was thinking about that too recently. God I loved doing the college radio DJ thing. I was actually contemplating the fact that ther'e just no radio station I'd want to work at.

When your career trajectory moves from once belting a live, drunken version of "Hang on St. Christopher" after being on the air for 92 hours straight to coming up with witticisms to describe Train's "Give Myself To You," the magic has faded.

Ah well, I've done other things and always gravitated back to radio. Must be what I know best. Do have about a third of a novel done, maybe that'll go somewhere. Or not.
