Handshake and a special pin to the man pimping Keane in 2006.
Brave. I bet the album's good, even.

(I thought about pimping the Blue October album, but that'd be work. I'll just say it's better than assumptions regarding same)

I liked the first CD. Then I saw them in concert and it was like putting the album on shuffle. They played it note for note. Most boring show I've ever been to...saved only by the fact that The Zutons and The Redwalls opened.

Seeing them live actually turned me off the album. I don't think that I've listened to it since.

I'll have to hear the new one before jumping in. And I'll never see them live again.

I bought the album upon hearing snippets, and then got back into them when the live/video DVD came out (highly rec'd btw). This new album and the SY are my two most wanted albums of 2006 at the moment. Love the artwork as well.

Did they play along with tapes? Isn't just the singer, a piano player, and a drummer?

Wow~! Really?? I thought they were excellent live here in Milwaukee. They had the crowd really into it, and you could tell that they were very appreciative of the turn out. Personally, seeing them live MADE me more of a fan. Odd how that works. The Zutons rocked also BTW. I love them.

Incidentally, Keane are the saving grace of our Summerfest festival here in Milwaukee this year. Playing on a free stage to boot. I guess some people would like to see Wilco, also on a free stage, but i'll take Keane anyday.

Thanks for the songs Dalen. Rockin~!

I think it was just me. The rest of the crowd was totally into them. And the friends that I went with enjoyed them. I like a band to mix it up a little when they do a live show. If I closed my eyes I wouldn't have even known that they were on stage. It was seriously just like listening to the CD on shuffle. They could have been lip syncing the whole thing for all I know. And their stage presence was totally underwhelming. Maybe they were having a bad night...or maybe I was.

Anyway, I'm glad that you enjoyed them and I hope that they put on a great show for you at Summerfest.

Meh ? *shrugs*... Aint my thang.

I miss the old days of having Depeche Mode and New Order on the Main Stage (Marcus Amphitheater) as the Headliners. Summerfest has been Bummerfest in recent years.

I liked the first album a lot. It was fluff, but really a great summer record. I look forward to this one.

I'm thinking that Keane are going to top their first album.

Heard several tracks on launchcast the last couple days and they're definitely going the 80's U2 sonic route. Not imitating, but sonically, yeah.
