 Post subject: How do I get the backseat lowered on a 2006 Corolla?

So I have the driver's side backseat in lowered position so I can fit a bike in but I need to get the passenger side one down as well. Anybody know?

I think there's a lock that the ignition key fits in on the console by the rear windshield.

I thought that was for both, but look through the trunk for some kind of lever, or maybe it's near the headrest...

You have to go thriugh the trunk. The release is in there.

okay so let me address some stuff here.

i don't own a car. the corolla is not mine. i only ride a bicycle and take public transportaion or accept car rides from people who own cars. i don't participate in the rampant oil wasting madness that is the united states/the world. (at least when it comes to petro)

second of all, there was no owner's manual in the car which is the first thing i tried to consult, and apparently they don't offer their owner's manual online.

also, i read on other websites that on the 01 and 02 corolla this backseat does not change position, only the driver's side.

anyway, we didn't succeed in lowering so we couldn't bring our bikes to the city.
