Neko Case Sings, "It's the Devil I Love"

by David J. Stewart

I'm writing this article, as a series of articles, exposing the Satanism and immorality inherent to rock-n-roll music. Few people fully realize the Satanic roots of rock-n-roll. It was the Rolling Stones who produced an album in 1967 titled, Their Satanic Majesties' Request. In 1968, the Rolling Stones produced a song, as a tribute to the newly founded Church of Satan (1966), titled Sympathy for the Devil, in which Mick Jagger sings...

"I’ve been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man’s soul and faith
And I was ’round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you..."

Today, Neko Case and others continue the Satanic praises. Who is Neko Case?

"Neko Case (born September 8, 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia) is an American singer-songwriter, best known for her solo career and as a member of the New Pornographers. Her music is frequently labeled alternative country, though Case doesn't describe it that way. She recorded and toured for several years as Neko Case & Her Boyfriends before switching to her own name." -SOURCE

In 2006, on her album, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, Neko Case sang...

SONG: "Hold On, Hold On"

The most tender place in my heart is for strangers
I know it's unkind but my own blood is much too dangerous
Hangin' round the ceiling half the time
Hangin' round the ceiling half the time

Compared to some I've been around
But I really tried so hard
That echo chorus lied to me with its
"Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on"

In the end I was the mean girl
Or somebody's in-between girl
Now it's the devil I love (Comment: Neko Case sings, "Now it's the devil I love")
And that's as funny as real love

I leave the party at three a.m.
Alone, thank God
With a valium from the bride
It's the devil I love
And that's as funny as real love
And that's as real as true love

That echo chorus lied to me with its
"Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on"

That echo chorus lied to me with its
"Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on"

Neko case states, "Now it's the Devil I love." I have no doubt that she has some cute excuse for her praise of Satan, and I'm sure I'll receive some letters from her fans telling me that I don't understand her intent. Whatever her excuse, it is evil (from a Biblical perspective) for anyone to state that they "love the Devil." I'm sure Paul McCartney also claimed to have good intentions when he was fondling a RAM (a symbol of Satanism) on his 1971 album cover, RAM. Lest anyone should have any doubts, the Beatles included a photo of renowned Satanist, Aleister Crowley, on the front cover of their Sgt. Peppers album. It cannot be denied that Satanism is incorporated into the rock-n-roll industry. So when you sing about loving the Devil Ms. Case, in light of the abundant evidence of Satanism in the music industry, you have to expect to be exposed. I am not saying Neko Case is a Satanist. I am saying that those artists, who show some type of allegiance to Satan, are the one's who become the most successful in the industry. I submit this is NO coincidence (2nd Corinthians 4:4).

The New Pornographers?

The following information if from WIKIPEDIA.com, the free online encyclopedia...

"The New Pornographers are a predominantly Canadian indie rock group formed in 1997 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Their sound is highly influenced by that of such power pop bands as The Cars and Cheap Trick; their songs, however, are generally of a greater melodic and harmonic complexity. A.C. Newman, who writes most of the band's material, has said, "When I seriously started to try to write songs, my main influences were, like, Burt Bacharach, Jim Webb, and Brian Wilson. Those were the guys I kinda looked at their music and went, 'What the hell are they doing here?' I was just fascinated by the structures and the harmonics."[1] The melody of the first and eponymous track on their second album Electric Version, for instance, begins with an arpeggiated diminished triad—a rare and strange opening flourish for a pop song.

The band has released three albums to date: Mass Romantic (2000), Electric Version (2003), and Twin Cinema (2005).

The band members include Daniel Bejar, Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins, Kurt Dahle, Todd Fancey, Carl Newman, and Blaine Thurier. Fisher Rose also played drums on some songs in Mass Romantic.

The New Pornographers are frequently referred to as a supergroup—or an indie supergroup—because of the following members' associations:

* Dan Bejar of Destroyer;
* Kathryn Calder of Immaculate Machine;
* Neko Case, solo artist, also of Maow and cub;
* John Collins of The Evaporators;
* Kurt Dahle of Limblifter and Age of Electric;
* Todd Fancey of Fancey;
* Carl Newman, solo artist (as A.C. Newman), also of Superconductor and Zumpano;
* Nora O'Connor of The Blacks and Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire; and
*
Blaine Thurier, independent filmmaker." -SOURCE

The band name, New Pornographers, speaks for itself. Rock-n-roll music is a religion of sexual immorality. Neko Case, a member of the New Pornographers, is a sexual degenerate herself...

"Not too long ago, Neko Case wrote an article for Girlyhead magazine about dreaming. In it, she describes her favorite dream, where her, Steve Earle, and Madonna were all playing a show in Vancouver. After the show, all three of them have a 'sex sandwich.' And the tryst ends with Madonna remarking to Neko, 'Your hair looks like a wig.' This is Neko Case’s world. It’s perfect, really." -SOURCE

Yet, hypocritically, Neko Case sings "This Little Light" on her "The Tigers Have Spoken" album. In the song she sings, "Jesus gave me light, I'm going to let it shine..." You've got to be kidding? When asked in a Playboy interview if she would pose naked for Playboy, Neko Case said...

"Well, of course I would consider it! But I certainly need time to think about it. It would be a lot of fun..."

Is this how you're letting your light shine for Jesus Ms. Case, by telling others that it would be FUN to strip naked for millions of men to commit adultery with you? Jesus said in Matthew 5:28, "...whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Why would you even speak of doing such an evil thing Ms. Case? I mean, you can't sing about letting Jesus' light shine in one breath, and then say in an interview that it would be fun to pose in a lewd Playboy magazine. You can't sing about loving the devil and then expect people to understand what you MEANT, when it's not what you SAID. Let's be reasonable.

Conclusion

Rock-n-roll music is of the Devil, and Neko Case is just another testimony to this fact. Rock-n-roll is saturated with Satanism, immoral sex, rebellion, pornography, substance abuse, etc. I did not write this article to attack anyone; but, rather to expose the evils of rock-n-roll music. Satan desires to sift our young people as wheat, just as he did Peter (Luke 22:31). To sift wheat, you beat it against a stone to separate the wheat itself from the plant. Literally, Satan wants to beat us to death (John 10:10). Rock-n-roll music is a vehicle by which we subtly invite Satan into our minds. Rock music is of the Devil.

Neko Case. The Rolling Stones.

How come all the non-metal satanic bands are so boring? Satan deserves better than this.

Is there an email address to contact this fellow. I would LOVE to remind him of all the imagery and poetic language used in the Bible to make a point.

This kind of stuff is infuriating. But, I try to ignore it as much as possible. Just like I don't give any credence to things that David Karesh said. It's just pointless.

From a Christian perspective, one could say that anything not of God is just that, not of God and get mired deep into argumentative futile discussoins about pop culture and how the artists and people who don't profess to be Christian are not good examples of Christianity. But, this is completely ridiculous. It's completely beside the point of Christianity.

I don't remember Christ saying in the sermon on the mount, "remmeber to always condemn people who are not christians." Sheesh.

It's a never ending source of wonderment that many of these people with no ability to comprehend irony, humor, metaphor, context, sarcasm and the fact that many people don't believe in the actual devil at all, have college degrees. Some have doctorates even. Though they're from schools with names like Sacred Blood Of Christ School Of Theology and whatnot.

As the Prince of Darkness, I'd just like to go on record as saying that Neko Case is not in any kind of relationship with me, let alone a mutually beneficial relationship. And I'm not just saying that so Deena doesn't whup my ass when she gets home. Cause if I was nailing Neko Case in exchange for indie fame and fortune (that's droll, really, does this guy know what they make?), I'd be bragging about it. I'd be all like, Hey Jesus, check out this firecrotch I stole right from under your nose, and the bitch can sing her ass off too. All you got is Mary Magdalene singing some bitch ass Andrew Lloyd Weber tune.

Alas, I feel that I have to dispel these rumors so that the Christian indie rock fans know that it's o.k. to buy and enjoy Neko Case albums, and if she ever decides to rock my underworld, I'll be the first to let them know so that they can proceed to burn said albums like a bunch of sheep. Sheep with matches, and nazi armbands.

It's even funnier when you read it with South Park Satan's voice in your head.

I bet that idiot doesn't realize that The White Stripes 'Get Behind Me Satan' is a thinly veiled proposition for me to fuck the two of them in the ass. Maybe if Meg was a better looking woman then Jack...

I'm still holding out for Neko.

I need a Neko. I'm holding out for a Neko till the end of the night.

That Neko Case song is my favorite song this year so far. These dipholes can yell fire in a crowded theater all they want. Not all of us believe in the devil.

I can't take credit for Parker Lewis Can't Lose. That's an abomination in everyone's sight, not just the Lord's.

I remember when I was a kid, my friend's mom had some tape of a lecture condemning all rock as being satanic. They even played shit backwards and slowed it down. It was awesome.

Then I found out I could manually play records backwards on my Superman record player. And that's when I gave up Jesus.

Another one of my legion. Teaching your children no less.

Damn I'm good. I've also got all the coolest stuff, like playing shit backwards on turntables, drugs, sex, and chocolate.

Christians just don't know how to have fun.
