I actually think that's kind of cool. The artist and the distribution center making a deal. At least since it is such a large distribution center. I think this could be useful for indie artists if companies were willing to make these kinds of deals with all artists whose labels allowed.

I was blown away when I saw Sufjan Stevens Illinois there last year and the new Gnarls Barkley album a week ago. Just kind of surreal.

I bought the only album I've ever bought from Target a few weeks ago. It was Neko Case. I was surprised to see it there so I just tossed it into my cart.

I bought something on my "maybe" list because it was only $7.99. I don't remember what, though, so perhaps it was on that list for a reason.

I used to work there (briefly) a couple of years ago and they used to show Interpol's "Obstacle 1" video. A lot. It was kinda cool. :)
