Being used to mp3 files, i've dl'd 2 albums straight via ysi that are in m4a format. i can't play these on my rio, but can convert m4a-to-mp3, but it's a pain. Is this the new way people are going or just a coincidence? i'm thankful to hear albums early, but won't jump flaming hoops for most artists (with thom yorke a big exception). Just wondering.

If you have iTunes it is extremely easy to convert them to mp3.

You just encode them to mp3 and then WHAMO there's a whole folder with mp3's of the same album.

It's just a different format. Out of the 20 albums I have received in the past month, only 3 of them were m4a.

Isn't this the Apple proprietary format? I can't put them on my Nomad and my Roku won't play them on my fucking stereo. This is why I would never buy anything off the itunes store.

Goddamn Apple making it hard for me to pirate music.
