Black Flag in a landslide...not even close.

Though i do like Big Black...played the hell outta that Racer X 12".

But Black Flag was the biggest baddest punk rock force on the planet culminating in that Damaged album. For me, not even close.

But, really, it probably comes down to a style preference. If you like the noisier stuff, Big Black may be your pick. If you have a thing for early American hardcore, Black Flag's the easy pick.

Big Black has probably held up better over time, but Black Flag is a fucking force. I gotta go with the latter, though it's gotten much closer lately.

Black Flag, while Steve Albini is probably cooler now than Hank Rollins is, Black Flag had a far greater impact on my youth than Big Black did.
TV Party is such a great song.
