If not, they are pretty damn close.
Damn, it's been too long since I've listened to Kiko.
I always give lip service to this record, and yet it never fails to blow me away, every time I put it on. Yeah... I know that I am known for hyperbole, but... just... damn.

See, I never got passed their cover of La Bamba from the movie and always assumed they were lame. Are they really actually good?

So did lots of people. Big mistake.

You could have guessed this, but:
YSI forthcoming.

Great band. But, Todd, didn't you post an identical one two months ago?

Kiko is an album I just never "got." I think maybe it's too bluesy for my tastes. I need to give it another try soon.

No.
that's just my reputation.

EDIT: The thread about David Hidalgo and Prince is about as close as I got.

Greatest band? Dunno about that, but they definitely are a fantastic band. Excellent songwriting. Quality stuff, no doubt.

Well put.

They have a recent live DVD that is well worth picking up. Our local Tower has it for $10 and it's online here for $12. It's a great way to be introduced to the band.

I honestly have no recollection of that thread.
Damn.
That kinda scares me, to tell you the truth.

You know, the notion that there might be TWO PopTodds - one reasonable, pop-lovin' Todd and the irratic, repetitive one - would explain a lot.
