Tania told me today that rain cleanses the soul. I stubbornly refused to believe her, but she was only partially right. The cold rain and Bardo Pond bathes your soul, in gorgeous noise.

It's March this June, and miserable. My ears are ringing to fucking high hell. I just found out my brother lost his virginity. This is my new favourite band. Fuck you Bardo Pond.

Definitely go. Last night was such a great show. Not a low moment. Not a high moment either. Just uniform awesomeness, languid heaviness, distorted beauty.

Saw them open for Mogwai once, and I thought they were way, way better. (I found Mogwai to be pretty boring and predictable live.)

Lapsed is pretty great.

I haven't got Lapsed, but I'd love to have it. I have Amanita, which is pretty incredible, and their new Ticket Crystals. I picked up Volume 5 last night, but they were sadly lacking in merchandise. I think the Montreal crowd caught them off guard.

I'd like to have Amanita. Maybe we can work out a trade? I'll try to u/l Lapsed.

I feel the same way about Mogwai. Bardo Pond was good from what I remember when they supported Godspeed You Black Emperor, but my memory was nearly wiped clean by gybe's competely intense and amazing live show.

I disagree. Live excellent. But maybe the circumstances of last night contributed. On record good.

I wish I could have been there---my friend's band played the opening slot--- but I had a wedding to go to.
