Ringo is this Saturday.
I am much more excited about this than I probably should be.

How do you know he's dying on that day [and thereby leaving no living Beatles]?

Someone is playing with him in his All Starr Band. A very strange pairing. I can't recall.

Oh, come on. We all know he died in 1966. Just look at the album covers.

Sheila E.
Billy Squier
Rod Argent (if only Colin Blundstone were a part of it, too!)
Edgar Winter
Mark Hudson
Richard Marx (ugh!)

Richard Marx. That was the one.

This is an awkward stage full of people.

The show was a lot of fun.
Corny in parts, to be sure.
But, c'mon which of you would NOT want to see Edgar Winter do both "Free Ride" and "Frankenstein" up-close and personal? He brought the rock. And he still hits those damn high notes.

And so did Billy Squier. (Admit it, the riff from "Everybody Wants You" is one of those perfect moments in music. It's just right.)

A definite bonus was Rod Argent actually playing a Zombies song ("She's Not There").

And you know, Ringo himself was pretty charming and was in as good a voice as he can be. Plus, you know, he did help to change the face of music.

Paul finally turned 64 this weekend. Do you still love him at 64?
