Obner Father of the Year

On behalf of Obner, the members of which I obviously did not consult, I am awarding the 2006 Obner Father of the Year to PopTodd, for teaching his kids TEH RAWK.

Now, if I find out said lessons have included Shrimp Boat, I'll be the first to call Child Protective Services...

I'll call my pops when he gets home from work but if i tried to get him anything he'd whup my ass. Which, come to think of it, might be his favorite past time. Maybe I'll get him a little something so he can indulge.

I would like to submit myself based simply on the fact that our daughter is never subjected to any children's music. We don't even own any, thank god. And I plan to keep it that way.

FYI, the only Shrimp Boat they really dig is a 5-minute free-jazz skronkfest that includes melodic quotes from "If I Were a Rich Man". I suppose you'll say that they are wiser than I. :wink:

My folks have been married for 42 years and my mom had absolutely no clue what to tell me to get my dad for Father's day so he got a visit from me and a $25 gift card for Home Depot.

That's my go to gift. He likes going there like I like going to the record store.

I got my dad a phone call too. I feel bad, because in turn I got two shirts, pajama bottoms, a big candle, and a big drawing my son made of me. I was thinking my daughter was going to be born yesterday, giving me the ultimate Father's Day gift, but alas, it didn't happen.
