Yes, Mouthus. They destroyed again. Played with Cousins Of Reggae and Mucid Cuspidor last night as part of the Suoni fest here in Montreal. This is the fourth time I've seen them play, giving further credence to the suggestion that it's never the same twice, and nothing will ever be the same. While their short set was replete with signature boundless sludge, it was punctuated by a speed and register that I'd not immediately recognize as their own. Shit's too hype.

If you get a chance to see these guys, and I can't tell you when their next gigs are because they're kind of aloof, don't miss it.

Cousins Of Reggae are Blake Hargreaves from Dreamcatcher and some other dude. Their set was pretty much an understated version of Mouthus'. I prefer his work in Dreamcatcher.

Mucid Cuspidor is Matt Brinkman from Mindflayer. He played noisy beats. I didn't like it very much.
