Monday Night Football is about to start, I really hope the Jags take it to the Steelers.

Damn, his Chapelle impersonation was funny. I wouldn't have thought Tirico would have laughed so hard. Too bad he plays for the Steelers.

I respect Leftwich and really dislike the steelers, I don't want to see the Jags win a Super Bowl, but just give the Steelers a thorough beatdown.

i don't know or care anything about football, but it just seems pretty retarded to hate an entire team. I can't even do that in basketball, and there's like 40 fewer people per team out there.

That's why I said really dislike, because hate is such a strong word. I don't even hate Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado or Kansas State who have been Nebraska's toughest rivals over the last decade.

No Personal reasons, I just thought they got real lucky winning the Super Bowl last year, thanks to some bad officiating, and I grew tired of seeing the tv coverage pan to Cowher's wife and daughters long, long ago. It became nearly as bad as seeing Angie Harmon at Giants games when she dated Sehorn.

Can't someone dislike the Steelers for no rational reason? I know I really had no rational reason for having an immense level of dislike for the 49rs when they were dominant or the Lakers even today.

BTW, this is my 2,500th post, I'm going to pass Derris this week.

so it's more a reason of disliking them because they're winning? Rivals I can see disliking, and sure, there was some very questionable officiating in that game, it seems to me like officiating in general in the NFL sucks. There's at least 3 games a week where everyone talks about how bad the calls were.

Hey, man, dislike whomever you please. I've been trying to rationalize my dislike of Parisians for almost a decade now.

There is no reason an NFL game should be scoreless at the half, somebody better at least kick a FG.

AFC North = SEC of the NFL

Anyone see the pregame?

Steve Young said he'd take an All Pro TE over an All Pro WR. He had both so he should know. It makes sense coming from a West Coast offense QB in this day & age whereas 25 years ago the thought would've been unheard of. Someone else made the point awhile back that Moss & TO getting traded 3 times in 3 years between them pretty much shows how overrated having a top WR can be because you'd never see the leagues top 2 left tackle's or QB's bounce around like that. I was saying all last year TE is evolving into a more & more important position. When was the last time a top flight TE got traded? It's interesting to watch a certain position evolve. Hockey certainly saw Defenceman & Goalie go thru a revolution in the last 25 years & it really changed hockey.

this is like me fucking loathing nebraska and tom osborne. although, the tom osborne-specific dislike is more rooted in his "i was a tremendously popular football coach. i think i'll run for congress" go.

there are very few of these types of games, scoreless thru a half. great defensive matchups. great games aren't always the result of tons of touchdowns.

i dislike the steelers because of Cowher's stupid "i'm an angry tough guy" faces.
that's the only reason.

i liked them for a minute when duce staley was still healthy.

I love how I won both games in my fantasy leagues because willie parker didnt show up to play...i mean in one league I had nobody tonite, my opponent had parker and was down by 1.5 points!

(and I think I beat mutty tonite in similar fashion ;) )

I hate the Steelers due to rivalry reasons. When you speak about hate and sports, its a semantics issue. Many times where you grow up, who you knew, etc designate your specific outrages. For me, I still hate the Colts, but appreciate Manning on a certain level, but get giddy whenever they lose.
