Saw them at the dodge music formerly meadows music. Doobie brothers rocked out, played most of their hits, China Grove bein the best of the bunch, and definitely stole the show.

Ol' Skynard though, they weren't lookin that hot. Didn't put on much of a show, looked a little drunk. But man, when they played 3 steps and Freebird, they rocked out hard.

Best 20 bucks I've spent on a show in awhile, catch the Doobies if you can, they're worth it.

I certainly appreciate a Pat Simmons-led Doobies more than a Mike McDonald-fronted one, but you probably should have spelled Skynyrd correctly.

Also, "Long Train Running" is way better than "China Grove"

Haters. Get off his back. I saw the Doobies years back and they put on a great show. They have some fucking great songs.

Relax over there.

I'll get off his back when he spells Skynyrd right.

It's either spelled with two "y's" or as "The Skinert."

Period.

I'll accept "they Skee-nart" and "them Skay-nerts," as well. Maybe his dialect inclunates one of them varications there.

I might despise Skynyrd's signature tune about a certain state, but "Gimme Three Steps" remains awesome and always will be:

I was cutting the rug
Down at a place called The Jug
With a girl named Linda Lu
When in walked a man
With a gun in his hand
And he was looking for you know who.
He said, hey there fellow,
With the hair colored yellow,
Watcha tryin to prove?
Cause that's my woman there
And I'm a man who cares
And this might be all for you.

I was scared and fearing for my life.
I was shakin like a leaf on a tree.
Cause he was lean, mean,
Big and bad, lord,
Pointin that gun at me.
I said, wait a minute, mister,
I didn't even kiss her.
Don't want no trouble with you.
And I know you don't owe me
But I wish you'd let me
Ask one favor from you.

Won't you give me three steps,
Gimme three steps mister,
Gimme three steps towards the door?
Gimme three steps
Gimme three steps mister,
And you'll never see me no more.

Well the crowd cleared away
And I began to pray
As the water fell on the floor.
And I'm telling you son,
Well, it ain't no fun
Staring straight down a forty-four.
Well he turned and screamed at Linda Lu
And that's the break I was looking for.
And you could hear me screaming a mile away
As I was headed out towards the door.

Won't you give me three steps,
Gimme three steps mister,
Gimme three steps towards the door?
Gimme three steps
Gimme three steps mister,
And you'll never see me no more.

How many original members are left in Skynyrd at this point? Like, maybe part of an arm?

Thanks, thanks. Sorry for the spelling, I went for the Doobie Brothers, never been a big fan of SKYNYRD.

Either way, they put on a great and memorable show, quit with the hating

It's not hate. It's snark.

Hate is for bad people. Snark is for quality grumps.

The key to this is knowing that some of the original members died in that awful plane crash.

Too funny.
