Pitchfork news this morning

He's been compiling music and songs for 3 years and plans to put it out soon and probably do a couple of shows because it's the closest thing to "normal" he's ever felt.

I wonder if he'll kick off the World Tour in Ruston.

AWESOME.

Apparently they've added quite a bit to it since I left in '00.

I guess he started making music after his wrestling career ended?!?! I always wondered what happened to him!

Yeah, the part of the property that has the big stage will hold 3,000 peeps now. I just booked a show at the Dawghouse recently. It may be new?

Dawghouse was opened around 1998. It never was a favorite of mine (and honestly outside of two places, Ruston was super pathetic), but I have some friends in a band that play there fairly regularly for hometown gigs.

It's a "Sports Bar" with helmets and shit painted on cinder block walls, corrogated metal on the walls, shit like that. It has always had bands, but it's pretty small. It's been YEARS, but whenever my friends played there they would have me take money at the door since they didn't trust their guy. The staff has probably rolled over 4-5 times since then, however.

Besides and odd layout, my bigger objection was the primarly douchebag SAE contingent that would circle jerk over Golden Tee.

I will be glad to see Mangum both healthy and making music again, but will try to temper my expectations.

On a similar note, I heard this rumor that Guns n' Roses was coming out with a new album, Jandek was going on 3 month long world tour, and Metallica was going to stop sucking.
