How is the CD that comes with it? I've seen the issue in Tower, but haven't picked it up due to the $10 price tag. The CD is various bands doing Revolver tunes (I think- at least it's all Beatles tunes) and I wondered how it is.

Thanks.

Yeah, it's Revolver covered in full with a bonus cover of the b-side 'Rain' (by Ed Harcourt).

I've only given it a quick listen so far and Chris Eckman does 'Yellow Submarine' far too slow, but, well, it's 'Yellow Submarine', so who cares. Lampshade doing 'Good Day Sunshine' sounds so right and I really like Belarus' version of 'Here, There and Everywhere' and Jim Reid's of 'And Your Bird Can Sing'.

Overall, I'd say it's definitely worth the $10, but I'm a sucker for covers and espeically Beatles covers. Then again, you do get a decent read out of the magazine as well.

Tracklisting:

1. Taxman - Catfish Haven
2. Elanor Rigby - The Handsome Family w/The Rivet Gang
3. I'm Only Sleeping - Neal Casal
4. Love You To - Sukilove
5. Here, There and Everywhere - Belarus
6. Yellow Submarine - Chris Eckman
7. She Said She Said - Mark Mulcahy
8. Good Day Sunshine - Lampshade
9. And Your Bird Can Sing - Jim Reid
10. For No One - Michael Weston King
11. Doctor Robert - Luke Temple
12. I Want to Tell You - Thea Gilmore
13. Got to Get You Into My Life - Green Pajamas
14. Tomorrow Never Knows - Jason McNiff
15. Rain - Ed Harcourt

Cool, thanks for the review. I'll probably picket up.
