I'm sitting here listening to The Breeders 'Pod', which as you may know, includes a cover version of 'Happiness is a Warm Gun' and it got me wondering if you could compile cover versions of all the tracks on the 'White Album'. Yes, it's that sort of evening.

So, off the top of my head I can think of...

The Breeders 'Happiness is a Warm Gun'
Pixies 'Honey Pie'
Folston Lowell 'Why Don't We Do It On The Road' (absolutely fantastic, if you've not heard it, one of the best cover versions ever).
Siouxise and the Banshees 'Dear Prudence'

Over to you guys for the rest of them...

The Jeff Healy Band did "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
I know someone covered "Savoy Truffle" in the '70s but I can't think of who it is. AMG doesn't seem to have it, which makes me think it was part of a medley (i.e., the title is "blah blah blah/Savoy Truffle"). EDIT: Terry Manning!

I am very down with this thread.

The White Album was my first Beatles disc and the first album I couldn't stop listening to well before I realized I had an interest in music (if that made sense).
