listening to it right now. in a shocking turn of events a "question" (i.e. a "lob") from the esteemed representative of fox news (the last question that is asked) turns into a 20min diatribe on the honor of bringing democracy to the world and a "domino theory" of a free iraq on the middle east and creates a tidy little ending to the press conference. :wanker:

. . .i wanted to hear a question on the abuse of executive power

democracy is going to spread in the middle east the same way soccer fever is going to spread accross the US.

Sounds alot better than when he said he'd rather be right then popular on Larry King last night. I think the only president who could have said that and was really telling the truth was Truman, I'm sure Dubya is privately whining about being nearly as unpopular as his dad and Nixon.

Well, did any other presidents grow up playing piano standards in whorehouses on the outskirts of KC, MO?

"WASHINGTON -- President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution."
