Yeah it's a good flick. I got it for Christmas a few years ago after I saw the trailer. I thought the story was a little slow, but all the blood more than made up for it..Just dl'd a movie the other night called Cannibal Holocaust..Haven't seen it yet, but it sounds pretty ill..

I wasn't really impressed with this, despite a friend telling me for a year it was gonna be my new favorite movie. It was good, but not the greatness people claim it to be. Pretty fucked up though, as all of Takashi Miike's movies are.

Cannibal Holocaust (IMHO) is a LOT more fucked up than Ichi, though. If the former had the technology and budget of the latter, it would be the most disturbing movie ever made.

I don't know about most disturbing movie ever made, though admittedly I haven't watched it yet. Irreversable would probably be my choice for the most disturbing movie I've seen.

Oh man I can't wait to watch Cannibal Holocaust...I watched the begining the other night, but my girl got bored and I turned it off after 10 minutes..I may watch this on a solo mission tonight.

The only Miike film I own is Gozu, which I dig. He's now reached cult status, which worries me a bit about how he will go about making films.

this movie was amazing. i couldn't watch a lot of the scenes without my hands partially covering my eyes or ears though.

the only other miike movie i have seen is audition, which i own and will never watch alone. the last 15 minutes of the movie are disturbing as hell.

my roommate has it and i've been meaning to watch it. i also need to check out the audition as well.

i love tadanobu asano, he is one of my favorite japanese actors. i know he's in ichi, so that's why i wanted to see it. a great japanese flick to watch is survive style 5 (think wes anderson meets pulp fiction japanese style)- asano stars in that movie. one of my favorites.

i couldn't sit through it, graphic rape and torture just don't do it for me.

Don't watch "Perfect Blue" then...

That movie wasn't all that graphic, and I don't remember any torture in it. I think that director kinda sucks, though.

Never seen Ichi, but I've been somewhat curious about that and Audition. None of my friends who've seen either one have ever really strongly recommended them.

There was a rape "nightmare" scene, and I believe there was some torture towards the end. Could be wrong though.

There may have been, but I don't remember anything in that movie as especially graphic.

I did find a little disturbing, though, as I couldn't shake the feeling that the director was indulging his own rape fantasies. His other movies make that seem a little less likely, but Perfect Blue was the first one I saw.

Perfect Blue was of the type of anime I dig if I watch anime which is rare. I like Akira, Ghost In the Shell, and Perfect Blue...I haven't even skimmed the surface.

For the most part I only like Miyazaki stuff.

Akira and Ghost in the Shell (and the new Appleseed) are all OK.

Battle Royale is pretty good, though it's not Miike.
