So I’m trying to get myself something I can get my writing done without the distraction of the internet or having to transcribe typewritten sheets. I’m looking for something I can write on that is portable and has some sort of memory/disk function that I can transmit to a computer. I don’t need paper or anything, just a keyboard and a screen big enough to read a few lines of what I’m writing. Every search I make gives me laptops or word processing software. Do they even make something like this? Is just getting a typewriter the only option I have?

Um, get rid of the internet or just get an old shitty laptop for a few $$ that doesn have an ethernet card in it. I dont think they make word processors anymore..and remembering the size of those screens- for good reason

you could buy an old palm pilot and a keyboard.

i think you're looking for a "word processor" though.

yeah i don't know if they do make them anymore.

but the ones with memory are expensive. the palm pilot route would be cheaper and more portable.

I used to have an Olivetti one. Maybe they still make them.

You could save stuff onto a floppy disk.
