Wow this place IS dead.

Tonight: Walking down to a local bar for early dinner (burger) and a few beers.

Tomorrow: Not much during the day. Then playing a lake party that Cap'N and I played last year, by myself. Looking forward to it. Haven't played out in a while.

Sunday: A little clothes shopping and potential mongering.

Playing with yourself in public? All Right!

Looks like a possible viewing of Pirates of the Carribean this evening.

Or either just heading to The Compound for the drinking, the lounging by the pool, and the music mongering.

Repeat for Saturday.

Sunday, prolly head home and get into some open nuth.

Today: My boss' last day at the university so probably have a few drinks on the patio this aft. I'm officially in charge of the lab for the next month, after that I'm unemployed. FEMJACK is off in Spain for a week, so it's just me here tonight. Probably make some pasta, watch some goodfellas and get drunk Rossi style.

Sat: A couple of people might actually breach the security gate and come over for some grilling and drinking.

Sun: Not a goddamn thing.

My wife's b-day is Sunday.

Tonight: Celebrate her special day with the kids... pool (weather permitting) or movie, followed by dinner out and ice cream.

Tomorrow: Having some friends over for dinner, perhaps an impromptu jam will erupt?

Sunday: Celebrate both my wife's day, and have a LARGE family dinner to celebrate my grandmother's 90th.

We're having red flag warnings and excessive heat advisories this weekend. I doubt that I'll be up to doing much of anything, but:

Tonight: Drinking with my sister and her cop pals.

Saturday: Housework as early as possible cuz later I'll be sweltering.

Sunday: Today was saved for fence painting, but with 100+ degree weather, I doubt I'm gonna do anything.

In essence, I'm doing jackshit.

Tonight: Run to bookstore and get a couple books. Pick up a couple groceries. Order dinner in. Watch a movie with Josh.

Tomorrow: It's my last saturday of freedom. So I'm going to finish the cleaning of my walls, run a couple errands, spend the day reading and watching Buffy season 6.

Sunday: Hang with Josh then go have lunch and mani/pedi's with my mom. Read. Make dinner. Watch Entourage.

Monday: Finish throwing stuff in suitcase. Last minute touch ups to house. Spend the rest of the day nervous and spazzing. Have my last meal for 24 hours(no joke, they won't let me eat past midnight-can't even have water-those bastards).

Tuesday: Spend morning spazzing. Go have a baby.

I was gonna do that, but, congratulations. Instead:

TONIGHT: Ninja Tunas (10-4) vs. Thunder (8-7) followed by Harris Newman & Tetuzi Akiyama @ Casa

TOMORROW: Laundry, tennis, Gabe visiting from New York, Diplo/CSS/BdR @ Sala

SUNDAY: Tennis tournie, BBQ

Potentially not bad.

tommie sunshine's doing a set tonight, but i'll probably only go if i can get in before they start charging a cover. otherwise, i have no idea.

tomorrow i'm going to see the mets vs cubs. if today's game rains out, i'm hoping they'll make tomorrow a doubleheader. the cubs are stingy about doubleheaders, though, so they'll probably make it up on some mutual off-day in august.

sunday? no idea.

this is what i wrote

Two Drive By Truckers shows. Tonight I am seeing them at Plan 9, Saturday at the 9:30 Club.
I dyed my hair blonde/orange/red/yellow/pink, just by bleaching it. Today I have a doctors appointment because I have the neverending cough.
Tomorrow TOM WAITS TICKETS GO ON SALE. I have a sexy date with Ticketmaster tomorrow morning at 10 AM and if anyone ANYONE on obner gets tickets to Akron/Asheville and I dont I will RAPE AND MURDER YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY.
Friday night i'm probably hanging out in jackson ward with my best friend.
Saturday afternoon I work and right after that i'm going to see the DBTs. Sunday i'm working but probably going out after, doing who knows what.
This weekend will be sweet.

by the way, the DBTs were awesome last night. We sang happy birthday to Cooleys son, they played a great variety of shit. It was amazing.

dark wave is hit or miss, even throughout a night. the resident djs are never great or terrible, but they occasionally do toss in some huge surprises, like hot hot heat and vitalic back-to-back. the last time tommie sunshine did DWD, it was alright. i wasn't blown away, though. and i only stayed for awhile because i had to work the next day. this is the first time they're doing it on a friday, so the crowd may be interesting.

I saw the Prairie Cartel at Dark Wave a few weeks back and really just enjoyed it because I like the artists in that group. The crowd seemed very "phony" as my brother put it. It falling on a Friday though could make it more lively.
