So for lunch, I just grilled three gigantic hamburgers (2 for now) and made pasta salad. The hamburger meat ifeatured diced up onion AND Cowhorn pepper---both straight out of my garden.

No special occasion, nobody else even here, just a big fucking lunch on a Saturday.

I just inhaled two whoppers with cheese, and am grilling burgers for dinner later on. I don't know what's going to go first, my arteries or my liver.

You are all making my diet of mango, berries, avocado and crispbread seem less than savoury, and my ability to drink and get women in bed non-existent. I spent my Friday night listening to a Japanese man play his guitar at the rate of 6 notes per minute.

They look like really big cayenne peppers except they curl at the end.

I looked 'em up to see what they were. I grow these in my yard:

Tania, are you familiar with Tabasco Peppers? (not to be confused with Tabasco Sauce which is made from cayenne peppers). I'm assuming they have something to do with the Tabasco region of Mexico? Who knows?

Anyways, these are little short white and then orange fuckers. Godamn they pack a punch.

Ive got a ton of them.

No idea why the fuck i decided to grow TWO plants of habanero's this year. To be quite honest, I'm afraid of them.

yeah my neighbor grew four. I'm pretty sure she's never had them before and has no idea how many guatemalan insanity peppers each plant is gonna yield.

ONE habanero plant produced more than enough for me to cook with last season.

I am -- and you're right! My dad grew those. It's funny that I have three chile plants cuz I don't eat the shit. Now and then, I'll pick a couple off the plant, grind 'em and add to my salsa (gotta be careful, though, more than 2 or 3 of those puppies and I'll be crying for days!). I just think the shrubs are kinda cute. All the other ripe chiles, I pick and give 'em away.

A not-yet-ripe Cowhorn pepper:

These are already picked and about to be made into the years first batches of hot sauce:

And just for fun, I planted these fucking sunflowers and now they are 10-12 feet tall. Insanity:

I have the wild (pequín? pepín?) pepper growing out in my yard. This is about as far North as they naturally occur. They are very hot, but add a really good freshness if I add a couple to my cooking - they're only about the size of my pinky nail.

I have a feeling I would barely recognize Redlands (in a good way)

I ate some sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast and now am dealing with leftover pizza for lunch.

I HAVE had 5-6 Harps and 2 Guinness, tho. Contemplating dipping into the whiskey at 2:50 pm.

playing the massive Lucero by the pool. About 20 mins. ago I "poured beer on my chest to facilitate the tanning process."

Am now out of the pool, doing laundry and trying to find a fine mid-afternoon sleep-monger-movie.

I am just impressed with the garden, dog. I hope mine can eventually start to bear that kind of fruit (or veggies/peppers)
