That's a very tough call. Buzz Ballads may be worse just due to the greater number of (crappy) songs.

It does have "Easy" on it, though.

If #1 was on at a party/bar I would have to leave. If #2 was on Iwould alternately rock out / make fun.

#1 in a LANDSLIDE.

Sorry but neither...something an ex once gave me:

And don't go trying me "Oh but the Cardigans did great Sabbath covers". I love the Cardigans... trust me, this is very, very different.

edit: this review--from my hometown no less--puts it into words perfectly:
Quote:
Any brilliant standard is only as strong as its interpretation, and the "standards," if you will, of Ozzy Osbourne can just as easily be covered with aplomb or not. This album's cutesy swing-less take on the great songs of Black Sabbath is an interesting experiment, maybe, but their music sucks, straight up. This is a joke, but no joke is funny for 41 minutes. This album will make you want to puke everywhere. The Lounge Brigade sound like a wedding band that couldn't afford to hire a horn section: Their barely passable, garage surfer rock in argyle with drunken group karaoke vocals is recorded badly. Who wouldn't rather lounge with Ozzy himself? (Josh Dolgin)

#1 easily is the worst - "Schizoid Man" by Greg Lake and "Roundabout" by GTR says everything you need to know. They couldn't afford the originals so they had the "shadows of" recreate them. It's too bad they couldn't get an Emerson, Lake, & Powell tune instead, then it would have been a real shitfest.

But Buzz Ballads almost wins just by being two discs. Yikes.

That was why I threw my vote there. The other one seems horribly funny.

#2 reads like a grade seven mixtape of mine. I could easily put that on at a party and continually have people go "oh man, I forgot about this song."

That said, I'm a decade or so younger than a lot of the people on the board so I'm sure those songs stir up entirely different memories.

As for disc one, I only recognize maybe two or three tracks on there.

There are at least some crappily good songs on the Buzz comp. I voted for the other one.

When I was like 13 years old at summer camp, I stole this from someone. Disc 1 AND disc 2.

(And even though the Stones once considered Steve Marriot as a replacement for Brian Jones - a notion reportedly vetoed by Jagger because he was threatened by Marriot's voice...) Humble Pie's version of "Honky Tonk Woman" is irredeemably godawful.

Option One.

No redeemable songs that I'd ever want to hear ever except for maybe "Dust In The Wind" at like, a funeral or something.

Wasnt there a truly awful tribute album that was in the "10 worst of all time" things in Q Magazine or something? I cant remember anything about it at the moment, but boy was it awful.
