I bought it sound-unheard new. Listened to it many times, couldn't get into it, sold it. Bought it back used, listened to it over and over, love it now.

They're one of my favorite new acts of the past six years now.

Great idea for a thread. This album hasn't been discussed enough over the last 3 years.

I suppose I should do that, never having gotten over hating it the first time.

I was just contemplating selling my copy of Gallowsbird's Bark or whatever it's called. Could never get into these guys.

I don't hate them, but reached a point that I can never really lsiten to them again on a regular basis. I sold back Gallowsbirds Bark, this and the EP and have not heard anything they released since.

Put this on in the car during our family trip out west. Wife and the kids all thought I was insane and ridiculed it incessantly - but by the end I think they were secretly enjoying it.

I'm gonna give it one more listen in the next few days before I decide, but if I am gonna sell it, I'll let you know.

I never got around to listening to this when it first came out, but listened to it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed by it.

My favorite band of the 2000's as well.

This album is absolutely their best and was my number two that year right after the Arcade Fire album. Still have yet to hear the debut but have recently bought their latest a couple of weeks back. Matthew Friedberger debut double album is about to come out and wonder how it will even compare?

I haven't heard any FF albums and have been kind of put off by the few songs I've heard, but am willing to give it a go.

This is one of my favorite albums of the past 5 years. I definitely love-love it. It just hits all the right spots with me (catchy tunes, fun story telling, long songs that have enough changes and twists and turns to keep my interest, etc.).
