i heard a terrible sound!

and the terrible sound was coming out of my mouth, due to the dull yet somehow increasingly radiating pain in the right side of my chest, just below my collarbone, which made it hurt every time i breathed in. had it been in a diff't spot, i wouldve sworn i was having a heartattack.
turns out it's prob some weird muscle/tendon thing [heart's beating normally, lungs working fine] - i mustve twitched in my sleep or pulled something from sleeping in an odd position.
scary fucking business.
made me think about the fact that we're all going, someday, and how i spend way too many of my waking hours staring at a screen.

I read in the paper the other day about a kid that died from sneezing. Apparently a sneeze can cause a brain haemorage in some cases.

Think about that for a while!

Next time you feel a sneeze coming on it could be the last thing you ever know. Like life wasn't scary enough.

i've woken up in the middle of the night with a charlie horse. that's a pretty horrible feeling.

I've done this kind of thing before, but lower down towards the bottom of my ribs. Except it hurt for a couple of weeks afterwards

Unfortunately my pre-season training had just started. Trying to explain to my coach that I had hurt a muscle while lying in bed and couldn't train cued the obvious jokes about just what I was doing at the time...

And I couldn't even use it as an excuse in this case!
