on the train, i sat next to guy who spent THE ENTIRE RIDE just plucking his eyelashes out. by the end, he was 100% eyelashless, with exception to the really fine fuzz. i have never felt to uncomfortable looking at another human being, yet i couldn't look away.

he had glasses on and every time i thought he was finished, he'd just prop his eyeglasses back on top of his head and resume plucking, rubbing his eyes, plucking. it makes me rub my eyes just thinking of it. horrifying.

is there a psychological disorder that goes along with that kind of stuff? perhaps beyond obsessive compulsive?

I have this one eyebrow hair that always grows way longer than the others. It's really weird that I have to cut just this one hair every six weeks or so (which I did last night).

I had an aunt who was traumatized and pulled out her own hair.

I also know that birds will do it -- especially captive/pet birds when they are unhappy. :(
