3 to see this year for me

this year, I am going to make it my personal mission to see the following 3 bands live:

1)Magnolia Electric Co.
2)Okkervil River
3)Catfish Haven

and if I can manage to catch Kings Of Leon,too, well that would be just peachy. But i'm not so concerned about it because it would likely be such a big show.

well, i'm seeing okkervil river tomorrow. they're really good live. i've had chances to see all of these bands this year and i think i was even at a catfish haven, but either arrived too late or left too early.

I see Magnolia and Catfish are actually touring together later this month - but alas, they are only hitting a few Southern US states...

I get to see Kings of Leon in three weeks when the open for Dylan where I work. It should be good times.

Saw 'em twice...first time for their debut album and they were great...last time about a month ago...decent, but looked bored throughout and had a bit of a makeover. Coulda just been an off night. And, not at a venue I liked as much and with a tamer crowd, so not all on the band. Still, for me, one of the best straight-up rock bands around these days.

I like Kings of Leon, but found their live show very boring. All of the songs sounded the same.

Now Okkervil River, there's a band to see. Jesus, I'm so excited to see them again.

this just reminded me of their live version of "it ends with a fall." why they didn't record it that way is beyond me.

funny. That's exactly what I thought of when I was typing that. I like the recorded version... the live version is like a bj when you thought you were getting a hj. a nice surprise.

i saw okkervil river on saturday. do not miss this band live. it's the third time i've seen them - possibly the best yet. i think they only played 2-3 new songs along with a good mix from each album. one of those new songs, in particular, is spectacular.
