I requested his theme song from Robin Hood to dance with a girl in the Sixth Grade. I thought it was so romantic of me.

Billy Squier's "Everybody Wants You"
has one of the most indellible riffs in rock history.

Ba-dum-dum
Ba-dum-dum
Ba-dum-DA-dum-da-dum-dum

I ALWAYS turn that one up.
So, I can relate, Bob.

The one song I always turn up when I hear it is "Naughty, Naughty". How pathetic am I?!!?

I can't remember the last time I've heard anything by Bryan Adams.

And I live in Canada.

Odd.

I turned up "Run To You" this last weekend. I don't apologize for it either.

I'm not being contrarian to be contrarian, 'cause I actually enjoy it, but Europe's "Final Countdown" is far from the worst song ever.

There was open talk last of week of making Bryan Adams' "Heaven" our first dance song...FUCK WITH IT!!

Outside of the fact that it's not the Stones, I can't fuck with it. A, it's your wedding; b, nothing wrong with BA. But, yeah... No first-dance-with-Stones, at LooGAR's wedding?

Smashing Pumpkins Luna was the first dance song at my wedding...our first date that did not consist merely of hanging out at the bar or eating Chinese food was a Smashing Pumpkins concert...so it fit.

Hey...if its gotta be stones, you could always go with Wild Horses. Unless you're marrying a black chick in which case, you'd be remiss not to use Brown Sugar.

And, yeah, I hate Bryan Adams. He's on the mount rushmore of bad canadian music along with Celine Dion, Rush and Avril Lavigne.

I don't think I can read this thread any more; I'm beginning to get ill. I'll go back to listening to Songs About Fucking, thanks.

My comments weren't meant to have a "holier than thou" tone, but Bryan Adams is one artist I really can't stand.

You guys work way too hard at NOT being cool, when in fact it seems to come quite naturally.

Man, was I a sucker for the Robin Hood song in middle school (elementary school? -- what year was that movie?).

And FT, why was Bryan Adams available to come up on random?

"Reckless" was a steel-plated hit monster. Canada's "Born in the USA." You were going old-school Adams with "Knife."

Alanis Morrisette needs to be up there, too.

Edit: Run to You. Yeah.

You see, Stacey, THAT'S why this is a dirty little secret. I just checked my files, and I have a grand total of three Bryan Adams tunes:

"Cuts Like a Knife"
"Summer of '69" (a.k.a. "monty's Theme")
"Heaven" (LooGAR Nuptuals Remix)
