I just discovered Mogwai, like, a few months ago. Why didn't I listen to you people earlier. How many discs do they have?

I've been really good about burning and *actually sending* mixes or full discs I've promised people. I'm really proud of myself. FT, I have somehow lost the second disc of the Beastie Boys anthology. Not lost, but I don't know which binder it's in. As soon as I find it, yours, too, will be mailed.

So, just about three seconds ago I got dressed for work and I checked myself out in the mirror and now "I like big butts and I cannot lie" is stuck in my head. This happens far too much... I'mma rock these curves.

Anyone know about the band Dolorean? A friend introduced them to me and I likey.

I just finished a collection of Bukowski poetry in two days. It's the first thing I've read in complete in a long ass time. Also, it's the first poetry book I've read end-to-end. Normally I just skip through when I have time.

I am wearing black and brown today. I'm a little nervous, but I think I can pull this off...

Mogwai has a lot of albums.

Dolorean is awesome. If I could say it without lying, I would say that I would send you a copy of one of his albums.

I recently bought two Dolorean albums. Is that all he/they have?

I am pretty sure that's it. I thought there was some collaboration that he did with Tortoise, but that appears to be Bonnie Prince Billy not Dolorean.

I really love "Violence" and the first track on that same album. I can't remember the name.

I want to check out Dolorean...got their song "Spoil Your Dawn" on a luverly Valentine's mix....speaking of mix, last 3 mixes from said mixer contains loads of great music, so I really need to hear more from each artist.

I'm not sure I dig this bi-weekly versus twice a month payroll schedule.

you get paid two times per week? I am really confused.

You get paid two times per month or one time per month or two times per week?

Every two weeks, versus twice per month. It gets you two extra checks, at a lower average per-check amount. Everything I have to pay is monthly, so the twice per month scheme makes organizing the checkbook infinitely easier.

we just switched to getting paid every 2 weeks from every week. i hate it. but i like it too. i hate it because i haven't quite got my budgeting groove down yet.... and i always end up low on the spending cash during the last week before payday. but i like it because i only have to think about bills twice a month....or every 2 weeks.

i decided to go back to school. hopefully this fall depending on getting my ass in gear and filling out this fafsa. i'm going to be getting my teacher certification. i'm so excited about teaching english that i can barely contain myself.

it's too hot outside. i really loathe the summer.

my birthday is in 6 days. and for some reason i'm really excited about turning 31. i'm so strange, sometimes.

i'm wearing brown today too. but no black. brown and pink. odd combo....but i dig it.

i'm getting ready to paint my toenails.

I kind of like the bi-weekly system, since I often need a paycheck before the end of the month.

Ok. you're gonna have to forgive me. Isn't getting paid every two weeks the same as getting paid twice per month?

Yes it is technically speaking, but it usually means either the 1st and 15th of the month or the 14th/15th and last day of the month. Whereas I get paid every other friday, so you can nearly get three checks in one month if the days fall right.

It's my deceased mom's birthday, so I'm drinking and blasting two of her favorite musicians; Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones.

You're kinda right.

Biweekly = every 2 weeks = 26 paychecks per year
Semi-monthly = twice a month = 24 paychecks per year

And your paydates can fall most any time of the month depending on when your pay period ends.

I had to walk customers to their cars in the pouring rain. One umbrella cannot properly cover two people unless those people are huddled up tight, which I refuse to do with strangers shopping at Zellers.

Then I got to come in and clean up vomit.

Minimum wage.

Ridiculous.

I bought a feather topper for each bed today. I'm gonna sleep on clouds no matter which bedroom I pick.
