Shiny Toy Gun is a new band...kinda electro pop-ish.

AAR and SOTY are pretty much emo-"rock" bands, Gavin Degraws CD actually isnt awful, just sappy (wife has it), fort minor is the group from the guy in Linkin Park (?) and Syd Matters is some French/Canadian guy who does his thing (indie pop/rock) fairly well, but theres plenty of that out there, right?

Never heard of the rest...however, it sounds like this girl would definitely be up for some shagging.

Fort Minor is hip-hop / pop. i saw a video on Much Music when i was in canada. the single "Where'd You Go" is pretty good but i have not heard any other songs.

All American Rejects are pop punk. Surely you must have heard "Swing, Swing" at some point.

Story Of The Year are emo/pop punk.

Fort Minor's a hip-hop side project from one of the Linkin Park guys.

Gavin DeGraw is, I assume, no different from James Blunt and guys like that. Probably doesn't sound any different than any Idol contestant.


Never heard of the others.

1. Is this pestering done by an attractive person

2. If yes, what are the odds another attractive person will be pestering you in the near future whose musical taste more greatly matches you own

serious, dude. the fact that she's bugging you means that she's a) wanting to validate her music taste from someone she thinks has good taste and b) open to new, better (in our collective opinion) music. either of those are good things. throw a couple bands her way and see what happens.

Electric Prsident is actually pretty good. It's one of those Morr Music organic, electronic mellow kinda bands.

I'm sure you've heard something by All American Rejects. They have been all over the pop stations this year with "Move Along"(song title?)

I don't think I could spot a song by the other two but I'm aware of who they are.

The only other one I've heard of was Syd Matters and I just saw their record over the weekend in the record store. I think the cd had a sticker on it that said "AS HEARD ON THE OC". The OC is a teen drama/soap opera that is huge on American TV.
