Inspired by the discussions in the "Maybe a dumb idea re: mixes" thread, particularly Fu's suggestion to have something similar to a brief "High-5" compilation of an artist's best tracks, I have decided to incorporate this concept into a recurring version of the Hip-D PodBlast.

Yes, as the VERY misleading thread title indicates, these will be a half-dozen of an artist's finest songs "distilled" into a single "Six-Pack" for you to aurally chug from the comfort of your own computer.

So, if there are specific artists you'd like me to feature in these upcoming "Six-Packs," let me know. I've already got several in mind. Generally, they should be artists people may have heard of, but not really ever heard much from. I want to increase exposure for what I consider to be underappreciated bands.

That being said, don't e-mail me for free beer. That's Chuck(e)D's department.

Now, if anyone DOES come up for your visit, I WILL give them a free six-pack of their favorite beverage.

jagged is not eligible for this promotion.

Oh, and if anyone could figure out a way to give me a six-pack of abs to replace my current keg, it would be much appreciated. I'm thinking sit-ups will have to be involved, unfortunately.

I've got sigs and images turned off at work, but I went ahead and updated the code as per your specs. Does it work like it's supposed to?

Yes, except that you left in an extra closing quote tag, and you need a line break after the pic.

No, that's not what I was getting at. I was just wondering if perhaps I should look into reducing the banner size.

These sigs are getting a bit out of control. I feel like I'm driving through Highway 10 full of billboard signs. Time to disable.

in my opinion, yeah they're too big. its mostly because when a bunch of the hip d bloggers post in one thread, that's all i see. banners that size usually appear once a page at the top. but again, this is just my two cents. i'm probably going to shut off sigs anyway because some of them could get me in trouble.
