My sister called me yesterday and told me that she just saw Deerhoof and "some band called Beirut" for free...and she's not even a fan, but knew I liked Deerhoof.

This and the free TV on the Radio/Voxtrot show make me realize that LA is lame .





I'm moving to New York.

That's the one. It's ridiculous. Do we have anything remotely close to this awesomeness in LA?

I think I might try to head down for the Walkmen show...really wish we had something like this on a regular basis in Boston (whereas we do have the occasional outdoor thing, like with YYYs/TVOTR last Thurs).
