the commercials for this show make it look really good, like an educational indiana Jones, but I never remember when it's on, and never remembered to set my tivo.
Well, that may be giving it a little
too much credit, but I do like the show. It basically is a very extravagant treasure hunt. There are three-person teams from various walks of life, including a few families, ex-CIA members, Air Force members, geniuses, former Miss USAs, and grad students. Each week they are given clues and run around to find a particular thing, which is a piece to a bigger puzzle to find the ultimate treasure. For the first 6 or 7 weeks, the last team to that week's ultimate goal got kicked off. They traveled all over the U.S. and to Europe to find these various things. Now they're down to three teams - the geniuses, the ex-CIA members, and the Southie Boys, who are three guys from the South side of Boston - and they are using the items they found along the way to find the ultimate treasure, and they don't even know what the ultimate treasure is. The show is very much steeped in history, especially American history and is pretty interesting from that aspect.
