It captures the desperation of single life masquerading as a "Party" better than anything else I have ever seen/heard.

This was my life ca. 1994.
Scary, really.
And I'm sure that some of you will relate.

And I know that many of you know this, seeing as how I discovered this album through CMJ 5 years ago or so.

Brilliant.
And yes, the whole album is pretty much this good and this dead-on.
