I really want to see TV on the Radio, but they are only playing at the Hollywood Bowl here in LA (Pomona is too far to drive for a late show on a weeknight :? )...Anyway, LA Obners who have been to a show at the Bowl: How is it? Would it be worth my while to get $25 tickets in section M3 (which appears to be the 4th level)? Would TV on the Radio be ants? Hmm...I can't decide and I need guidance.

It's almost like I'm the only LA person on the board that wakes up at 5:30  What, I can't get any responses here until noon?

I don't have a seating chart handy on where that is but it is a big venue. Puma will say go, she loves the bowl. I'm not that big a fan of either the bowl or TV on the Radio so I'd say skip it.

I get up at 5:20, so step aside, Mike!

TVOTR tix at the Glasshouse are sold out, in case you didn't know.

And, yes, go to the Bowl. The trick to avoid costly parking fees is take the shuttle -- ya pay 3 bucks and park at a Park n Ride lot. Though, I think M3 is a little high up.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm strongly considering it, though.

And you officially beat me on wake-up time, so I will pose all my early morning LA-specific questions to you.

Poet, Dri and I will be at that show. Should be a plus as to why you should go. :)

i was there last night for herbert, zero 7, jose gonzales & gotan project. let me say that hands down, gotan project was one of the best fucking shows i've seen all year (and that's a damn bold statement considering how many shows i go to). i'mma write a review later in my lastfm.

anyway we were sitting in n3, which is kinda high up and the furthest up i've ever sat.. but it still wasn't too bad and for $25 doe m3 it's not bad.

another bonus to the bowl is that you can bring a picnic and your own booze (consider how much you usually pay at the bar) so if you get there early enough, you can hang out.

so i say go.

p.s. i don't wake up at 5:30. especially when i have the day off. i didn't wake up until 12:30pm today. :D
