I like him better than Kilborne, although I'm only judging based on 10 minutes of viewing. Maybe it's just because I'm a fan of Mr. Wick.

He also has a great theme song (which I think he sings). It's merry.

A mutual friend of Pumachik, Damen and mine was recently promoted as one of the writers on this show. Needless to say, we're very proud of him. I just wish I could stay up that late to appreciate it. :(

Do you mean someone you know was promoted to writer, or are you referring to Goldy? Cuz it looked like he was promoted to Head Writer when Mike Gibbons left. Hard to tell I've watched the show for 5 years, huh? lol.

I find the new Craig to be very likeable...but I think maybe the new show is a little too upbeat or hyper for me. I used to watch the Kilbey version before I went to sleep every nite - it had the perfect tone for something to watch right before I drifted off. But I'll keep giving the new guy a shot.

That new theme song IS catchy.

Not Goldy. My dear friend Joe is now a writer on the show. Unfortunately, I never am up late enough to watch the show- only when I attend to see a band play.

And who's the new Craig?

The guy who used to play Mr. Wick on the Drew Carrey Show. The Scottish guy.

Yeah, the show is pretty hyper, but then again, so is Conan.

i am a conan disciple, but have been testing out craig ferguson in this week of repeats. i think his interviewing's pretty strong, at least way better than conan. last night, that aisha tyler (or whatever) was on the show and referred to him as "colin." and then he corrected her and said that colin ferguson was/is a serial killer along the long island railroad. i like that the interviews don't come back to being about him (like conan is prone to do). the comedy isn't great, but i guess it takes some time to develop.

First - congrats to Puma & Aural's pal Joe.

You can tell that the new Craig's a Letterman fan...as the week's gone on, there's been several Davesque bits. But considering this is the guy's first real week of doing this he's amazingly smooth. Seems like he's been doing the show for months already.

Way back in the mists of time he used to do a show for BBC Scotland.

I can't remember a great deal about it but I used to watch it every week so it must have been pretty good.

He was a excellent stand up comedian as well, although I don't think he does that anymore does he? He's more a TV guy now.

The stand-up ability comes in handy in delivering a nightly monologue, though.

Anything is better than Craig Kilborne. I just perceive him to be exactly like his character in Old School.

yeah, not a kilborn fan at all. the only decent thing he had was the questions.

i've yet to see craig, but i think it'll be pretty funny. i love his character on drew carey and i've heard some of his old stand up on the radio in europe and it's pretty damn good.
