Tonite: Drive home from Muscle Shoals. As I sit, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame is across the street, which is the original site of Fame Studios. Three Consecutive days longer than 16 hours like to kill me.

Tomorrow: Meet dude from the Painter's Union at 8am. Put fucking Union Bug stickers on all the goddamn signs they printed us with out the goddamn bugs. Hopefullly just do some filing and shit, and get the fuck outta dodge.

Tomorrow afternoon/evening: Pablo Honey, come to Flor-eda.
Meet my best friend from HS/College and his wife in Mary Esther, FL for whatever shenanigans we can find. Probably entail me and Sonny Guns watching football, his twin girls and both of our dogs, and putting back a case of beer while the ladies hit the outlets. (Fucking PRAY the UGA game is televised down there.

Sunday: Monger, Monger, Monger, Monger

Monday: Get home in time for the FSU v. Miami tilt and fret the next 60 days. The run from Sept. 7 to November 7 is gonna be a son of a bitch, starting with commercial shoots on Wednesday.

Friday - day off; do a bunch of errands. Then head toward Lansing for an old college friend's wedding (in truth, I've seen this person once since graduating 6.5 years ago and have the distinct feeling I was invited because her end of the guest list was a little thin. Whatevs. She promised to seat me with some single wimmins @ the reception, so it's all good).
Afterward, head to old roommate's house, crash on couch, get up @ 6:30 for...

Sat - tailgate before the Mich. St. vs. Idaho football game. Don't have tix to the game, so head back home around 1 pm. Rest of the day is wide open.

Sun - have to work. Trying to finnagle a noon-8 shift (instead of the normal 3-11) so I can get to Detroit in time to see most of Radio Birdman/Dirtbombs/Mudhoney

Mon - no day plans. Evening will be spent in Lansing watching Motion City Soundtrack (who I could give 2 shits about) and The Hard Lessons (who I LOOOOVE).

Tommorrow:
I have the day off, so I'm doing my laundry, paying rent and cleaning my apartment. I will probably watch the college football game tomorrow night as well. I also need to buy beer.
Saturday:
Get up early enough to watch Gameday on ESPN. Watch the Huskers play at 2:30 on Fox Sports. Drink alot of beer and hopefully celebrate the first of many Husker victories this year.
Sunday:
Nothing planned, if it is nice I'd like to take our dog to the park for a bit. I will also start reading a book for the first time in several months.
Monday: Get Groceries if I don't get them on Sunday, possibly go to the park that day instead. Read and watch Miami-FSU.

I think youre gonna be SOL on that one, pal. Big Rick has already called from his Florida compound to see if I can DVR/burn to DVD the game for him.

You can probably stream the Munson broadcast somewhere though.

Friday: Go for final lunch with some of the kids from the lab. That's at noon, so I expect to be drinking all day, which means I'll be drinking all night too. Should be moderately entertaining.

Saturday: Probably slowly recuperating with occasional doses of chinese food and caesars. Probably watch some NYPD Blue and Rome on dvd. Then drink some Rossi to fully reanimate.

Sunday: No idea. There was talk of going to a dog show nearby, so possibly that. Probably some more libations.

Monday: Too far away.

I'm thinking I might scope out the bars Friday for the first time in a while. I hate it, because I'll have to go in alone, but I'm pretty sure there will be people I know there.

I NEED TO DRINK

Work Saturday and Sunday.

I have Monday off!! But not because of the holiday, just because that's where my day off falls. Which is wicked cool as I get holiday pay.

you're fine, j. everytime i tell the story, i get less and less pissed off at the outcome.

in a nutshell:

swam, hated it, wanted to die (for serious), but i finished. didn't drink a whole lot, hopped on the bike, threw up around mile 15, fell over around mile 18-20 and went to the medical tent (in an ambulance!) with decreased lung capacity, dehydration and heat stroke. went to the hospital and they decided to keep me overnight because of some muscle enzyme which could hurt the kidneys.

spent all week with nasty respiratory/diaphragmatic pain due to hyperventilation and inhaling water, but i feel pretty good now.

fuck triathlons, dude.

holy shit...i'm glad you're ok. and yeah major KUDOS for even attempting it. i could never dream of it.

we have mini-triathlons out here...which i think is a 300 yard swim, 11 mile bike and 2 mile run...that'd be more my speed.

friday: working, then probably just watching a movie, pizza, wine, etc.

saturday: driving to black river falls, wi for good friends' wedding. rehearsal dinner at night then possibly some hotel room antics or out on the town?

sunday: wedding, reception, more fun, back to the hotel to lament the continued loss of our free-spirited, stallionesque and single younger selves.

monday: drive home, be lazy and maybe grill out.

Friday/Saturday - Class until 11. Then getting some things ready. Then work from 1:30-5. At 5 I am leaving Arcata, CA and driving down to Berkely. Going to sleep at a friends house for about 3-4 hours, and pick up some international friends (one irish, one english, and two australian girls), and we are driving (in my Neon, with baggage) to Anaheim, so we can be at disneyland around when it opens. So Saturday we will be at disneyland, haha and then we are staying at some hotel right across from it.

Sunday - We are spending the day at disneyland as well, we hvae 3 day passes.

Monday - We'll probably go for a few hours, on early admission, then we'll do whatever, I'll drop them off at a hotel, and then I plan on driving back to Arcata (something like 12 hours). I plan on getting in late, probably around midnight, maybe later. And Tuesday I won't go to class most likely, so i can sleep a little and then wake up in the late morning and go to work by 1:30.

I'm crazy
