I just saw "Gret Performances" on PBS last night;
Bill Irwin: Clown Prince

It was a great show and really made me want to know more about this guy.
Fucking brilliant stuff, what I saw.

Any fans?

EDIT: LINK to the show.

I like the wrestler "Wild" Bill Irwin (aka The Goon). Does that count?

I greatly admire the work of Bill Irwin.

ex. the 80s masterpiece of cinema "Popeye" with Robin Williams in the title role.

He's brilliant. Back in the 80's, he did a show (also on PBS' Great Performances, I believe) called 'The Regard of Flight'. Me and my family went and saw it when he did it live. It was even better. He also did a skit for 'Alive From Off Center', in which he gets trapped inside a television, that was pretty ahead of its time.

I wanted to be Bill Irwin.

I greatly admire the work of Bill Irwin.

ex. the 80s masterpiece of MTV "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin with Robin Williams in the title role.

A truly misunderstood, caustic gem of a song, worthy of Zappa.
If Zappa's biggest hit sucked and the record company didn't promote his good songs and then he got fed up with being pigeonholed and went on to conduct orchestras and leave pop music in the dust.
