Are there a different set of rules that govern separations for gay couples? Specifically, two guys just bought two of the remaining condos next to us, and they're a recently separated couple. They had a place together, they split up, and decided to buy condos right next to each other. They both have had new boyfriends over in the week they've lived there. They're out there splitting up boxes of stuff every day still.

Is there some wierd set of Bi-Laws (pun intended) that says this just somehow works? Cuz if they were a straight couple, there's no way in hell...

and while we're on the topic, what do butch lesbians do to make their breasts disappear... is it duct tape? how do they get it so flat? do they get pissed when someone addresses them as "sir" even though they spent all morning dressing up like a guy? i'm all confused.

It's odd but all the gay men I know who have been in long relationships have all had drama-free break ups and are still friends.

Straight couples could have drama free breakups if they still had the option to occasionally screw each other without remorse.

Being able to catch or pitch in the dumper means you have no remorse.

I'm starting to wonder how odd it really is. Maybe it's pretty common.

Funny thing is, our 1/2 of the complex is straight, their 1/2 is gay. Oh, for the day when starights and gays can truly live in harmony.

I've made some gay friends in the last couple years since I've been living in Atlanta and the only thing that I"ve learned is, from what I can tell, that dudes are much bigger sluts than women could ever be and that the lesbians tend to fall in love the first week and bring the UHaul with them next.

seems like the professional gay men I've met here ALL know each other. And I mean every last one. Like there's a secret club, or a handshake, or something.

If I'm ever wondering if someone's gay, I just call that guy I used to work with, and give him a first name, some basic info, and it's like "oh STEVE? Yeah, he went on a gay cruise with us to florida in '97. Total queer."

One time in high school during a pep ralley the vice principal was taking questions about something and he called on this really butch girl and he called her a sir. I guess you had to have been there but it was the funniest thing ever and she was pretty much called sir for the rest of the year.

Dude there's like 2 ot 3 gay bars in the whole town. Of course they all know each other. Not that big of a town to begin with.

I guess that's all it is.

On a related note, this french sausage is pretty good.

Uh, yeah but it's the same thing here in big 'ol gay Toronto, and even across Canada for that matter. I try to never assume one of my lez friends will know another one, but the true is they always do... even from across the continent. For the record, girls are pretty slutty as well. Word on the inside is that if you part of a gang of girls who like girls you can pretty much bet that most of your friends have slept with your new gf.

Re: the boobs (sorry ayah, breasts)... it's either: a) natural, b) tape, or c) op.

...well I'll be damned. I hadn't even thought of option C. Just take 'em right off, huh? Why didn't I think of that?

So in that case, when they get "sir," there's presumably no indignation? I feel like I try to be really conscious of it and address people properly, because I have certainly gotten my share of "miss" before (especially when I had nice long hair and even fewer chin hairs). But if they're gonna do their damnest to fool me, why bother?

I don't want to start speaking too much for people but... if there's no disrespect in there then yah, probably not. Maybe if they're young and not trying to look boyish. But yeah, for some peeps it could be a compliment.

That's the way it works around here, too. Besides, everyone pretty much uses the same channels. Word travels fast.

Other times, though, you just know....it's innate like that.

Peppermint Patty must have swung from each side, then, 'cause she was rather hot on Charlie Brown... Because there is NO WAY that pumpkin-head was a beard.
