They have a new album coming out? Really?

Oh wait...it's another greatest hits album (see below):

Red White and Crue is a definitive 2-CD Greatest Hits collection that is set for release February 1, 2005.

The album chronicles the band’s entire career and includes three brand-new Crue songs including the first single “If I Die Tomorrow”, which features a highly stylized and autobiographically-driven music video.

Motley Crue : Red White and Crue Track Listing:

DISC ONE
1. Live Wire
2. Piece of Your Action
3. Toast of the Town
4. Too Fast For Love
5. Black Widow
6. Looks That Kill
7. Too Young To Fall In Love [remix]
8. Helter Skelter
9. Shout at the Devil
10. Smokin' in the Boys Room
11. Use It Or Lose It
12. Girls, Girls, Girls
13. Wild Side
14. You're All I Need
15. All In The Name Of...
16. Kickstart My Heart
17. Without You
18. Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)
19. Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)
20. Dr. Feelgood

DISC TWO
1. Anarchy In The UK
2. Primal Scream
3. Home Sweet Home ['91 remix]
4. Hooligan's Holiday [Brown Nose Edit]
5. Misunderstood [Successful Format Version]
6. Planet Boom
7. Bittersuite
8. Afraid [Alternative Rave Mix]
9. Beauty
10. Generation Swine
11. Bitter Pill
12. Enslaved
13. Hell on High Heels
14. New Tattoo single version
15. If I Die Tomorrow (new)
16. Street Fighting Man (new)
17. Sick Love Song (new).

The track If I Die Tomorrow isn't bad, actually...which is why I posted this.

"Red, White and Crue" is the worst album title of all time.

Don't give a crap about the music, but man was that book (The Dirt?)about them funny. Pathetic, disgusting and ridiculous, but funny.

The most unnecessary 2nd disc in the history of double disc packaging?

Primal Scream is the best song they ever did......Need to somehow get it on the first cd though....It's a fun listen.......the new 3 songs suck...

Saw them on Kimmel.

With the exception of Tommy Lee (who was phenomenal), they sucked ass big time! The camera NEVER showed Mick Mars. Vince Neil's voice has never been weaker.

Can anyone tell me what the fuck Mick Mars was thinking with that hideous reverse moustache?

I wish I could find a picture here to demonstrate...

Awesome!!! The '91 remix!!!

Seriously, though. The book is essential reading to any rock n' roll fan. The whole book is one big wtf, but for some reason you find absolutely everything believable. Whether it's Ozzy snorting ants through a straw, or Pamela Anderson hiring a bunch of midgets and ambulances for Tommy's birthday party, it's all unbelievably believable.

And yes, the Crue and I have history. For some reason, my high school grad class voted "Time for Change" as our slogan and theme song. :rawk:

Wasn't 'Time for Change' a Greg Brady original?

I thougt "Shout at the Devil' was just as good if not better.....

Theater of Pain and Girls Girls Girls were half great/half filler.

The s/t with John Corabi was excellent all around.

Generation Swine had its moments.....Sue me, I think the re-make of Shout at the Devil was better than the original...

New Tattoo blew goats....

As noted in Fargo Rock City, hearing Shout at the Devil is what led to J. Davis wanting to be in an hard rock band. Similarly, Shout at the Devil was C. Klosterman's gateway into hard rock criticism. Each one really loved that album.

in case any one else was in the dark like me:

Image What is ankylosing spondylitis?
Ankylosing spondylitis is a form of arthritis that is long-lasting (chronic) and most often affects the spine. It can cause pain, stiffness, with swelling and limited motion in the low back, middle back, neck, and hips. Fatigue is common. Although there is no cure, treatment can usually control symptoms and prevent the condition from getting worse. Most people are able to do normal daily activities and continue to work. Complications of ankylosing spondylitis may include inflammation of the colored part of the eye (iris) called iritis, or difficulty breathing due to curving of the upper body and stiffening of the chest wall.

Mick is in really bad shape. He is travelling with a 24 hour nurse. When he is not on stage, he is going through medical type rehibilitation.

They are pretty much doing the reunion tour now, cause they know in the long run, Micks condition is only gonna get worse....So they are gonna make their last big payday now....

I think "Shout" is overrated...not bad, just overrated. Plenty of filler on there - which would become the MO for the rest of their careers.

But I think "TFFL" is more "garage rock" than 99% of the stuff that's been tagged with that label the last 3-5 years.
