I cant remember who, but one of the TV commentators (probably Irvin, since he is an OPEN racist) say that the crop of QB's who are the sons of NFL players (Griese, Simms, the Mannings) will never win anything because they grew up in the lap of luxury.
I still think the Mannings have a chance, although history does not bode well for them, but I don't see Griese or Simms ever leading their teams to a Super Bowl. Neither of them were stellar in college and would be the prototypical QB that you would build a team around. Granted Tom Brady wasn't much in college either.
I don't really know about Griese or the Mannings, but Simms always seemed rather spoiled in college. I remember his recruitment process being somewhat similar to Jimmy Clausen and Notre Dame. Everyone thought he would be the QB to lead them to a title even before he played a down.
