for some reason he thinks i like Placebo, and keeps trying to talk with me about them, but just like when Jerry Seinfeld forgot his girlfriend's name, i'm too late to back out. I have to endure all these Placebo conversations and i'm not sure how much more i can take. One day i'm just gonna snap and just like Elaine with George's wig......i'm gonna grab one of his PLacebo cd's and go, "I NEVER LIKED THIS THING, AND THIS I WHAT I'M GOING TO DO WITH IT!". But until then, i'm stuck 'liking', and sometimes, god forbid, listening to Placebo. My life is one big struggle.

i dont mind placebo.

Possible outs:

"They are SO last conversation."

"Placebo? I thought you said TV on the Radio! "

"I've changed my mind, I'm not gay."

hahaha

Perhaps if you introduced your friend to another band that's similar to Placebo that YOU like. If that doesn't work, you can send your friend my way -- I like Placebo.

Don't let yourself be backed into this corner again. Show some backbone, wuss.

ps - I would never have the guts to do this but since this is the internet I can tell you to stop being such a passive wimp and lay it on the table for this person you call a friend.

The next time he actually plays some Placebo would be a perfect opportunity to point out how much they suck.

Or you could say, "this really sucks, can you put on something good, like Placebo? Oh, this is Placebo? Man, I may have to rethink my position on whether I like them or not".

Or you could describe some entirely different music, like a string quartet, and then say, "oh, you mean that's not Placebo? I don't know, for some reason I always get them and Godspeed You Black Emperor confused...I mean, Kronos Quartet."
