Only a couple spins in on each but I'm digging the CH and the first track from NIO, Let the Sirens Rest, are showing promise. Thoughts on these?

Have you seen Catfish Haven live? I would think that is a better way to see what they are about. Is the record interesting or just acoustic guitar driven white-boy soul?

Acoustic at times but layered on some tracks. Some harmonizing. Do they suck live? Should I sell this back to the nearest schmuck within Amoeba's reach? BTW I can't form an opinion on anything without at least ten listens, so my initial enthusiasm may wane.

did catfish haven just spring up out of nowhere? i see those guys around town and have seen their name on bills a lot, but it seems that just lately everyone's been talking them up.

Catfish Haven seem to be a newish buzz band on the circuit. I see their name everywhere as well. Mags sure are eating them up.

They are good live. I would think it wouldn't translate on record. They are currently touring with Magnolia Electric Co. & their Spring/Summer tour was with Pink Mountaintops.
Music pubs are on them because they have a publicist.
