They've apparently got some freelance writing positions open and are accepting applications and resumes. I'm seriously considering it.

I used to love Chart back in the day but I haven't read it in forever. Same reason I stopped reading Spin, I think: the bands they featured on their covers kept getting worse and worse.

Do any of you read it or have any idea of who's been in it/on it recently so I have an idea of what they're like these days? I could always stop by the bookstore on my lunch tomorrow and give a look but this way's easier.

I read the ChartAttack site regularly, which is affiliated with the magazine. They've always got good features about upcoming releases, news briefs, tour info etc. I've never read the magazine though and based on what's currently in it, I don't think I'm missing much.

Chart's alright. Haven't read it much though.

I'd say that it and Exclaim are pretty much the centre of Canadian indie rock journalism.

Yeah, I much prefer Exclaim but Chart's the big bucks.

I doubt I'll even get an e-mail back, either way. They ask for two articles you've previously written. I take it they don't necessarily mean published or anything?
