I just posted the newest "Mixer" over at Hip Displeasure. It's called "These Minstrels Will Soothe My Jangled Nerves," and features a lot of songs I've referenced here on Obner in recent weeks. Most of what's on this Mixer technically qualifies as "classic rock," so if you want to hear what it might sound like for me to program a classic rock station, give it a listen...

Stream the newest Hip-D Mixer

Everytime I hear "Good Time Boy" or the "Mr. Soul" part from the beginning of "Broken Arrow" I find it pretty disappointing that Dewey Martin never got a gig as a frontman.

And never apologize for quality classic rock. Be an apologist for, sure, but don't apologize in the mundane sense of the word.

There's raftloads of classic rock kicks indie rock's ass back up Ian Curtis' rotting piehole.
