[this has dropped out of my 2006 best-of list and i want to make sure that is the right thing to do; i'm listening to this instead of doing something about global warming -- i have priorities]

[EDIT: this is still around #15 on my 2006 top 20 & i'll keep it there for now]

Born Again in the USA is bolstered by some strong rockout tracks, but overall the record seems to not be as cohesive as I first thought. I like it though, and I keep coming back to certain tracks.

i think it's cohesive enough, just not as proficient as it could be... these "side-projects" are always a little tougher to judge.

np: "casino twilight dogs" youth group
["forever young" is a sweet outro song]

Xela's obsession with 70's Italian horror films and more recently Paavoharju really shines through on this album. It's really quite incredible. I think those that have heard his previous releases are going to be shocked by this.

Weird, I just bought this, this evening with a gift card. Really like Jim White...moreso after I watching "Search for the One-Eyed Jesus".
