I'm a complete cynical prick a lot of the time. I can't stand 99% of music review sites/mags and generally think writing about music involves some of the most self-centred bullshit possible.

SO. Any music journo's you like that i could check out a few pieces?

And don't be linking me to pitchfork writers for fucks sake.

I was never impressed by Lester Bangs writing. I'm all about Everett True, my music writer hero. http://www.planbmag.com/ ( his mag).

Clockcleaner new album keeps growing on me, chance of shooting into my top 10 (although i'm tempted to never compile a frigging music list ever again, may just get this year done and then fuck it. I'm waffling).

Searching out album reviews i came across Doug Mosurak's review in Dusted magazine. This guy rules. When researching a band i regulary come across a review by him. So respect to Mr.Mosurak.

http://www.dustedmagazine.com/reviews/2693

Not sure if you'll like it, but he hits all the right spots with me.

Over 'n Out.

agreed. imo, music reviews should be short and to the point, which most are not. i don't have time for bullshit and egos.

i also don't follow any music writers.

US man. The uk version/equivalent(sp) is pretty lame. No paint huffers with gold all over the face! Funniest one was when a guy hid under a inflatable paddling pool( i think, or could have been something else), yet his legs were sticking out. QUAL.

I probably read 10 reviews a day on average and can't say I'd recommend any specific writer. While some are interesting very few are not full of themselves.
