I'm sorry, but stories like these make me wonder. How is it people need a license to drive, in some states driver's ed required, but anybody can have a child? Why aren't there some mandatory classes offered for expcectant parents. I mean really, it is a dispicable thought but very reasonable for children's sake.

Relax, relax, this is not a serious proposition and I doubt seriously it would ever actually happen in the future...it is just a pondering on how pathetic, tragic, and base humanity still can be after so many years of evolution. Yeah, some basic human birth rights are things we cannot as a government interfere in this case, too bad. I did offer to say mandatory classes to be taken say post-birth or pre-birth. If the class is not attended a DCHF agent could warrant a check up. That is all and not much interference. At least its a proposed solution or we could just let these things happen and call it a tragedy.

Well, the alternative is to attempt to adjust policy to engender those conditions (listed by PoD) that lead to non-baby-swinging homes.
